The founder of her namesake project, Nadiia Shapoval, was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. From early years Nadia was surrounded by Ukrainian cultural underground, absorbing the influence of her grandparents, who were true representatives of the 60-s intelligentsia – intellectuals forming the artistic, social, and political elite. Nadiia Shapoval holds an MA in Fashion Business and Brand Management from Instituto Marangoni (Milan).
Prior to Starting her own project, Nadiia worked closely with several internationally acclaimed Ukrainian fashion brands.
Project Nadiia was born as a reflection on her upbringing, her family, rich Ukrainian culture mixed with her international experience. In the time when globalization is slowly wiping out the boundaries of national identities, Nadiia aims to bring back the interest to the roots.
